Contest Success for Westoe |
|
 Westoe Band, continued their winning streak at the Durham League Annual Grading Contest beating GT Peterlee Band (conducted by Steve Malcolm) by 2 points.
The Adjudicator, Chris Wormald was very clear in his comments that the best band won.
The Soprano cornet prize was also awarded to Westoe.
Our resident Conductor Jason Smith was awarded The George Rowell Memorial Trophy for conducting the winning band.

To Westoe Brass Band in Partnership with South Tyneside NHS Foundation Trust web site.
Formerly the Westoe Colliery Band. Following the closure of the colliery in 1993 the Foundation Trust kindly offered to support the band and provide us with practice facilities.

Westoe Band members are a dedicated group of musicians and very welcoming of new players.
The band rehearse Tuesday evenings 7:45 till 9:45 and Sunday evenings 7:00 - 9:00 with the intention of producing the best possible performances both in the band room and public.
If you are local to South Tyneside or moving to the North East do contact us and come along for a blow.
Also, a specialist Bbb Bass and Soprano players will be very welcome.
Whatever, you play if you want to join us for a rehearsal - you're welcome.
